Hello and happy Monday,
We hope you had a blessed and fun Valentine's weekend. Whether you celebrated with a loved one or enjoyed a great Galentines Day, we hope you had fun, felt loved, and reflected on how much Jesus loves you.
As we continue in this winter season, I have been battling seasonal depression and feelings of discouragement, and I know I am not the only one. I know during this time of year, it is too easy to let the gray skies affect your mood and outlook on what is going on in your life.
First, please remember that God is still with you even in the winter. He never leaves you or forsakes you. Even when things feel heavy, or things look dark, God is still with you. He loves you and He will never go away.
Secondly, I feel like God wants to show us today that heavy and dark seasons are just that, a season. This time will NOT last forever. One of the great truths about the universe, nature, and even our lives, is that things go in seasons. We read in Ecclesiastes that there is time for everything. There is time for good things, and there are times for bad things. But just like winter turning to spring, the rough patches of life will end and bloom into life again.
So, if you are struggling or feeling heavy right now, remember that it will not last forever. Spring will come, and new life always comes after winter.
We pray that this encourages you today. Make yourself an extra cup of tea today and rest in the promise of new seasons.
Peace and joy, Kia Coquoz - TeaJoy Daily Devotionals
